Julie Mitre

Julie progressed from performing primarily as a dancer with Midwest Dance Theatre to Community Theatre musicals, then to Dramatic theatrical plays. While dance is in her background, she considers herself an actor who moves well. She has performed in a variety of roles and finds them all to be exciting, challenging, and rewarding. Such roles have included both delightful as well as despicable characters. She has portrayed mothers, grandmothers, a lover, prostitute, cougar and even a rabbit, squirrel and deer! Transporting the audience into the realm of a play’s story, as they are allowed to forget their personal world for just a few hours, and hearing their appreciation, is the actor’s greatest reward.
